Board of Supervisors Business Meeting
Minutes of May 3, 2018

The Board of Supervisors held a special meeting on May 3, 2018 at the Great Valley Middle School in the Library, 255 N. Phoenixville Pike, in Malvern, PA.

Present

Supervisors:
Charles A. Philips, Vice Chairman and Hugh D. Willig. Frank A. Piliero and Kevin R. Kuhn ere absent.

Call to Order:

7:10 p.m.

Citizens Forum

Mr. Martin had 3 requests for the Charlestown Historical Society:

  1. He requested the Board consider providing a $1,000 honorarium to Kutztown University for their underground radar study performed at Charlestown Presbyterian Cemetery in the fall. The presentation is scheduled for May 16th at the Charlestown Elementary School, 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.
  2. He noted that the CHS will provide their usual Memorial Day service on May 28th at the Cemetery at 10 a.m.
  3. He asked if the CHS sponsored concert on June 21st could be noted in the upcoming newsletter. Mrs. Csete said she could fit a small article in.

Interview Potential Candidates for Supervisor

The Board members met with Susan Bednar and David Valyo, who both expressed interest in filling the vacancy left by the passing of Michael Rodgers. The position would be held through 12/31/19, after which time an elected candidate would conclude the remainder of Mr. Rodgers’ term through 12/31/2023.

The board members will consider the appointment for this vacancy at the May 7, 2018 meeting.

Mr. Philips adjourned the meeting at 8:20 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 7, 2018, 7:00 p.m. at the Great Valley Middle School, in Room 154, 255 N. Phoenixville Pike, in Malvern, PA 19355.
