The Charlestown Township Board of Supervisors held a brief business meeting on Monday, January 16, 1995, at the Great Valley Nature Center, Rt. #29 and Hollow Road.

Present:

John D. Snyder, Esq.; John C. Martin, Jr., Chairman; John B. Sauser, Vice Chairman; Irene W. Ewald, Member; Surender S. Kohli, P.E.; and Ruth W. Buckwalter, Secretary

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:00pm.

The first item of business was Mr. DiPiano and the Horseshoe Trail maintenance. Mr. DiPiano was not present so the Chairman moved on to the second item which was the appointment of John B. Sauser to the Joint Board of the Valley Forge Sewer Authority. Mr. Martin so moved and Mrs. Ewald seconded the motion. The motion so carried.

Following the Supervisors business meeting, the public hearing on the Altemose Curative Amendment commenced. The Altemoses would like to construct 19 apartment buildings for 870 units on 58 acres at Whitehorse and Ashenfelter Roads in the Farm Residential district. Approximately 39 people attended. The first public hearing was held on January 9, 1995. A court stenographer takes the minutes.

During a break in the hearing, Mr. Martin reconvened the Supervisors meeting and moved for approval of the Eastwick escrow release in the amount of $115,812.35. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Ewald and unanimously carried. The Chairman set Monday, January 30th and Tuesday, February 7th, at the Charlestown Elementary School, as the next meeting dates for the Curative Amendment public hearings.

Respectfully Submitted,
