PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Charlestown Township will hold a public hearing at the Great Valley Middle School, Room 154, 255 N. Phoenixville Pike, Malvern, Pennsylvania on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. to consider the application for conditional use submitted by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (Applicant) to permit a utility easement or right of way within the Steep Slopes District pursuant to Section 27-1203 of the Charlestown Township Zoning Ordinance. Utility easements are sought within areas of Steep Slope over the property identified as Tax Parcel No. 35-3-102 owned by the Charlestown Oaks Homeowners Association and over which the Applicant has acquired certain easement rights. The property over which the easements are located is within the PRD-3 Zoning District with an address at Yellow Springs Road, Malvern on the south side of the Pennsylvania Turnpike consisting of 92.4500 acres.

The proposed easements related to the Applicant’s new turnpike maintenance facility on properties in Charlestown Township adjacent to the Turnpike identified as Tax Parcel Nos. 35-7-69, 35-7-71, 35-7-72, 35-7-95, 35-7-96, 35-7-96.1, 35-7-96.3, 35-7-96.4, 35-7-96.5, 35-7-97, 35-7-97.1, 35-7-98, and 35-7-98.1.

Copies of the application materials are available for public inspection at the Township office during normal business hours. An opportunity will be afforded to any citizen and to all parties in interest to be heard with respect to this application.
