PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Charlestown Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania is soliciting bids for the sale of two parcels of land, one parcel consisting of approximately 28.8 acres +/- of land located at 3116 Hollow Road improved with a dwelling, and identified as tax parcel 35-3-75, and the other parcel consisting of approximately 29.6 acres +/- of land located at 3050 Hollow Road with no improvements, and identified as tax parcel 35-3-75.1. The Properties are zoned FR Farm Residential and located in the Great Valley School District. Both properties are subject to a Conservation Easement held by the French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust. Bid Documents can be obtained by contacting Cindy Thompson at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox & Roach, 100 Deerfield Ln. Suite 140, Malvern, PA 19355 or calling 610-408-2145. Bids for one or both properties must be submitted to the Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox & Roach offices in a sealed envelope with the words “ATTN: CINDY THOMPSON DO NOT OPEN. BID OPENING: NOVEMBER 30, 2017” clearly printed on the outside. The sealed bids must be submitted no later than by 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 30, 2017. The bids received will be opened in public at the Charlestown Township offices, located at 4030 Whitehorse Road on the same day, November 30, 2017 at 12 P.M. The bids will be presented to the Board of Supervisors for acceptance at the regular meeting of the Board on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the Great Valley Middle School, 255 North Phoenixville Pike, Malvern PA. A certified check or cash in the amount of 10% of the total bid price must accompany all bids, and all bids shall be accepted on the condition that payment of the purchase price in full shall be made within sixty days of the acceptance of bids. Bids and sale of the properties are subject to all conditions listed in the Bid Documents. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities and irregularities in the bids, for any reason. Any successful bidder shall be required to execute an Agreement of Sale which will set forth the terms and conditions of the sale, purchase price and closing date, a form of which is available as part of the Bid Documents.
