NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN given that the Board of Supervisors of Charlestown Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania is soliciting bids for the sale of a certain parcel of land consisting of approximately 6.44 acres +/- of land improved with an historic dwelling, which shall be preserved, being a portion of tax parcel 35-4-85 as more fully depicted as Minor Subdivision Plan recorded with the Chester County Recorder of Deeds in Book 19746, Page 1. The Property is zoned Industrial Office (IO) and is located in the Great Valley School District. Bid Documents are available at the Township municipal offices located at 4030 Whitehorse Road, Devault, PA, 19432 or by calling (610) 240-0326. The sealed bids must be submitted to the Township offices in a sealed envelope with the words “DO NOT OPEN. BID OPENING: SEPTEMBER 29, 2016. VOLPI PROPERTY” clearly printed on the outside. The sealed bids must be submitted no later than by 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 29, 2016. The bids received will be opened in public at the Township offices on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 11:15 A.M. The bids will be presented to the Board of Supervisors for acceptance at the regular meeting of the Board on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. at the Great Valley Middle School, 255 North Phoenixville Pike, Malvern PA. A certified check or cash in the amount of 15% of the total bid price must accompany all bids, and all bids shall be accepted on the condition that payment of the purchase price in full shall be made within sixty days of the acceptance of bids. Bids and sale of the property are subject to all conditions listed in the Bid Documents. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities and irregularities in the bids, for any reason. Any successful bidder shall be required to execute an Agreement of Sale which will set forth the terms and conditions of the sale, purchase price and closing date, a form of which is available from the Township.
