Tour

Beginning at 9:00 a.m. from the Township Office parking lot, 4030 Whitehorse Road, Devault, PA, a bus tour was undertaken by members of the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission to selected developments in the Township to see how planning strategies and decisions have translated into actual conditions in the community.

Site visits were also made to the Gluchanicz and Spring Oak properties, for which applications are presently under review. At the Gluchanicz property the Planning Commission was met by Mr. Gluchanicz. At the start of the visit, Mr. Motel reminded the Planning Commission that after the March 9th meeting, Mr. Kohli had issued his decision as Zoning Officer that the non-residential use of the barn (fur shop) was not an accessory use to the house.

Before the visit, Mr. Gluchanicz’ engineer had marked the site triangle for the driveway entry onto Charlestown Road which is proposed to serve the farmhouse and proposed new home. That driveway would run along the southern boundary of the parcel. During the visit, members looked at the buildings on the site. Mr. Gluchanicz was given the opportunity to make any comment he felt the Planning Commission should hear.

At Spring Oak, the Planning Commission was met and accompanied on a walking tour of the property lead by representatives of the applicant, Dewey Land LP, Eric Schrock and John Mostoller.

The tour concluded at 12:05 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Linda M. Csete
Planning Commission Secretary
