  1. All - Reminder of EAC-initiated projects for next 6+ months: Brightside Farm Riparian Buffer Planting, Deerfield Riparian Buffer, Stream Naming (un-named tributaries), PA Turnpike Sound Wall Group, Charlestown Park Native Trees, Education Series.
  2. Notices: Next Weed Warrior session is June 4 at Pickering Trail.

  1. Charlestown Day planning. Suggestions: donations of environmental products, invite vendors who sell env’ly friendly products, Bartlett Tree donations, re-usable collapsible water bottles, pawpaws: Richardson
  2. Decision on helping with fall EAC Network
  3. Pollinator Week – Richardson
  4. RES proposal for Brightside Farm Park, passed by township at 5/2/22 Board of Supervisors meeting. See email from Andy Motel.
  5. Consider purchasing EAC table cover.

On Going

  1. Friends of Charlestown.us website – Solomon update.
  2. Interpretive sign installation – Walker update.
  3. Tree id walk: send out reference materials to registrants. Add registrants to EAC list.
  4. Weed Warrior program – invasive plant species weeding. Armstrong update
  5. Natural Resources protective ordinances (trees and others) request per PC & Thomas Comitta Assoc. – Goodman and Armstrong update.
  6. Appointment of Slocum per BoS decision.
  7. Bird Town application - Goodman
  8. Township newsletter articles (1/15, 4/15, 7/15, & 10/15). I.D. some of the spectacular creatures that live here Kestrel, Dobson Fly, Pileated woodpecker, bats (Maany)
  9. Open Land Conservancy Kendig family site donated, across from Jenkins property. Comments from P&R and PC will be handled through EAC, who will work with Ray Clarke of OLC – Goodman update
  10. All: Community Education series future suggestions:
    1. Watershed-Friendly Property Certification program (Armstrong).
    2. Wild Neighbors: Loving, protecting, and peaceful coexisting with wildlife (Phila Metro Wildlife Center);
    3. Tour of invasive plant species
    4. Waste: Hazardous, Industrial & Medical
  11. Armstrong & Goodman – update on riparian buffer project – Need for plantings at HOA . Ailanthus tree removal. – Updates.
  12. Armstrong, Goodman & Walker – status of Charlestown riparian buffer survey of potential sites.
  13. Goodman, Armstrong & Maany. Devault Basin Beautification Project along Route 29 near Turnpike – Charlie Philips lead.
