The second business meeting for August was held August 25, 2017 at the Township Office, 4030 Whitehorse Road, in Malvern, PA.
Mr. Kuhn announced that he spoke to Bob Dettore about the repairs and painting needed for the bridge across Pickering Road. This could cost up to $300,000 due to the need to tent the bridge because of the Pickering Creek underneath. He’ll also obtain a price for a precast bridge replacement so the Board can consider all options.
No matters were brought forward.
Mr. Rodgers gave background details on the settlement agreement between the Tredyffrin Township Municipal Authority and the townships and municipal authorities of East Whiteland, Easttown, Willistown, Malvern Borough, East Pikeland, Schuylkill, Charlestown, and the Valley Forge Sewer Authority, of which the latter three townships are members.
Mr. Kuhn moved to adopt resolution #892-2017, authorizing Charlestown Township’s execution of the Settlement Agreement agree to the sale of the Valley Creek Trunk Sewer system. Mr. Philips seconded. Mr. Philips called for discussion, and there being none, called the vote. All were in favor.
