BOARD OF SUPERVISORS’ MEETING
SEPTEMBER 21, 1992
MINUTES

The Charlestown Township Board of Supervisors held a second monthly meeting on September 21, 1992, at the Barn of the Nature Center of Charlestown, Route #29 and Hollow Road.

Present: Irene W. Ewald, Chairman; John C. Martin, Jr., Vice Chairman; Vincent G. Kling, Sr., Member; Ruth W. Buckwalter, Secretary; those on the attached list of attendees.

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:40 pm.

The Chairman stated that there was a request from John Panizza for an extension of time allowed to record and post escrow on his approved Subdivision. Mr. Kling moved to approve the extension for an additional 90 days, Mrs. Ewald seconded the motion. Mr. Martin amended the motion to include November 27th as the final day of this extension. The amended motion unanimously carried.

The Chairman announced a letter was received from Ronald C. Nagle, Esq., on behalf of the Merriwether Subdivision granting the Township a time extension to November 2, 1992. The Secretary was instructed to write to Mr. Nagle acknowledging the time extension and requesting that the plans be brought into conformity with the review letters from Mr. Comitta and Mr. Kohli.

At this time, the Chairman turned the meeting over to Jane Davidson Chester County Historic Preservation Officer. Ms. Davidson distributed portfolios containing information to accompany her workshop which included 1.) how DER regulations apply to historic preservation, 2.) establishing preservation files, 3.) historic preservation in the subdivision review process.

Mr. Martin called attention to the Charlestown Oaks’ map which listed road names for this Subdivision. Mrs. Ewald suggested this be dealt with internally.

All business complete, Mrs. Ewald moved to adjourn the meeting, Mr. Kling seconded the motion, it unanimously carried. The meeting was adjourned - 8:55 pm.
