Sealed bids for Landscape Improvements Plan for Charlestown Woolen Mill, will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Charlestown Township, Chester County, delivered to the Township Office, 4030 Whitehorse Road, Devault, PA 19432, until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017, attention: Ms. Linda Csete, Township Manager. Bids will be opened and read aloud at that time and place.

A single copy of the Contract Documents will be made available to each prospective bidder at no cost at the Township office, located at 4030 Whitehorse Road, Devault, PA 19432 on or after December 12, 2016. The date that the Contract Documents are picked up will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of Contract Documents.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at 2:00 PM, at the Charlestown Woolen Mill to acquaint prospective bidders with the project. Prospective bidders will not be permitted to bid on the project if they fail to attend the pre-bid meeting. Representatives of the Owner will be present to discuss the project.

Each bid must be accompanied by the following documents:

1) A certified check or bid bond payable to the Board of Supervisors of Charlestown Township in an amount not less than ten per cent (10.0%) of the bid price.

2) A Summary of Contractor Qualifications and Experience to execute the project scope.

Contract is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates.

Charlestown Township reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of the Township, and to reject any or all proposals.
